• About the game:

Pandemic is a cooperative game where players try to discover the cure for four diseases ravaging the world. The game is played full co-op style, with everyone's card kept face-up on the table. Though each player has a turn, there's no real downtime to the game since every move is discussed by all players.

• How to Play

The game begins by dealing players cards out of the player deck, then seeding the deck with epidemic cards, which serve to make things suddenly very bad in a random location, and to increase the pressure on the players.

In the Pandemic, you and your friends will take action to move around the world, treat diseases, build research stations, and trade cards with each other. The goal of the game is to discover all 4 cures by discarding 5 cards of the same color while your pawn is at a research center. You win the game by curing all diseases. You lose if you have too many outbreaks; if you run out of disease cubes; or if you have failed to win by the time the deck of city cards is empty. With 3 ways to lose, players are sometimes forced to figure out which crisis is the most demanding before choosing which actions to take. Finding the balance between treating disease and seeking more permanent cures is a constant challenge.
